At Signs Now Washington, co-owners Dave and Rani Bal offer comprehensive graphics and printing services – from traffic and reception signage, to billboards and vehicle wraps, meeting virtually any printing need.

The Bals first pursued opportunities with the Addition in 2014 and were eager to involve their woman- and minority-owned business in such a significant project. They learned more about the Addition’s contracting opportunities by attending project outreach events, always making sure to sit in the front row. “We're so delighted to be part of the project, making history at the Convention Center,” said Rani.

For the Addition, Signs Now Washington is providing a wide variety of signs and printing services for the construction site, including fencing banners, safety decals for hard hats, and temporary construction zone signs.

The Bals are particularly excited about the new convention business that will convene in the Addition’s 1.4 million square feet of meeting space. Signs Now Washington often prepares signs, backdrop displays and table throws for booths at trade shows. The Bals believe that the Addition will provide new and ongoing business opportunities for Signs Now Washington, as well as have a profound impact on the regional economy.

David and Rani hope to encourage other WMBE contractors to bid on the project. “We strive to be leaders in what we do,” said Dave, “and I believe that we can become that shining beacon for others who are sitting on the sidelines wondering: ‘Should I get involved? Should I get engaged?’ If they look to us and see that we're a success, then maybe they'll get off the sidelines and become engaged too.”
