Weekly Construction Updates

May 5th, 2021

Work to be accomplished between 5/5/2021 and 5/12/2021:

  • Erection of structural steel, metal deck, rebar, and concrete on metal deck.
  • Spray on fireproofing.
  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing rough in, and framing.
  • Building envelope including curtain wall, framing, metal panels and roofing.
  • Excavation, foundations, concrete structure and underground for the loading dock north of Olive Way.

Work site is highlighted on the map. This will necessitate the following temporary traffic control set-up:

  • Sidewalk closure on the east side of 9th Ave between Howell St and Pine St.
  • Sidewalk closure on the west side of Boren Ave between Howell St and Pine St.
  • 3-year closure of Terry Ave between Howell St and Olive Way.
  • Pine St North Sidewalk Closure between 9th Ave & Boren Ave.
  • One lane closure east side on 9th Ave between Olive Way and Pine St.
  • South lane and South sidewalk closure on Howell St from 9th Ave to Boren Ave.
  • Sidewalk on south sides of Olive Way from 9th Ave to Boren Ave closed from 9/30/2020 to 6/1/2022
  • Olive Way reduced to 2 lanes from 9th Ave to Boren 1/23/2021 to 12/31/2021
  • Olive Way closure of 1 north lanes and north sidewalk from 1:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday 5/8 for mat pour
  • Howell St closure of 3 south lanes from 1:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday 5/8 for mat pour
  • Boren lane closure west side from 7pm to 5am on 5/6, 5/11, 5/16
  • Boren 2 lane closure west side from 9am to 5pm Saturday 5/15.
  • Olive Way and 9th Ave closures. (See 9th Ave Crane Update below)

Allowable Work Hours:

7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday
9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday - Sunday

Permitted work outside allowable hours to be accomplished between Wednesday, 5/5/21 and Saturday, 5/15/21 will be:

  • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Deliveries offloaded with a tower crane.
  • Starting at 4:00 AM, Tower crane operations and concrete pump set up.
  • 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Steel deliveries, unload, organization, erection, and welding.
  • 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Operation of the crane on 9th Ave.
  • 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Unload and stock fireproofing materials from Boren Ave.
  • 2:00 AM start for mat footing pour at Howell St and Olive Way on Saturday May 8th.

Allowable Impact Noise Hours:

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday - Sunday

Permitted Impact Noise work outside allowable hours to be accomplished between Wednesday, 5/5/21 and Saturday, 5/15/21 will be:

  • Steel erection requiring impact work from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Mat footing pour at Howell St and Olive Way starting at 2:00 am Saturday 5/8.

 

  • 9th Ave Crane Update:
    We are 2 ½ weeks away from removing the crane on 9th Ave. Disassembly of the crane will start on Friday 5/21/2021 at 2 pm. This will require the closure of Olive Way from 8th Ave to Boren Ave, and 9th Ave from Olive Way to Pine Street from Friday 5/21/2021 at 2 pm to Monday morning 5/24/2021 at 5 am. Intermittent closures of 9th between Olive Way and Pine St will occur the week of 5/24/2021 to 5/28/2021. Special arrangements are being worked out with the Camlin during this period.
